This work is a fine and rare surviving example. Created by an anonymous hand, it depicts the farmhouse, walled garden, outbuildings, pens, grounds and parkland of Littlecote Home Farm, Chilton Foliat, as it was in the early C18th and includes engaging and lively details of the family in the walled garden to the foreground and various farmhands and animals to the middle distance and backgrounds. Simply a masterpiece of early English Naïve Art.
