Herbert E. Evans was a British painter active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, known primarily for oil paintings including still lifes and figurative works. Around 1893–1900, he lived at 15 Cleveland Square in Bayswater, London, a prestigious address near Hyde Park, reflecting a comfortable social standing. Evans exhibited several times at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions—showing Apples in 1893, Grapes in 1896, and On the Arun in 1900. Despite his activity, detailed biographical information on Evans, including his training and early life, remains scarce, though he is listed as an Arts Club member from 1897 to 1905.
