A handsome table, of good scale and proportions, with an unusually broad single plank walnut top, and a generous overhang at both ends. It is raised on a joined frame base, which is attached with two dovetailed cleats to the underside, houses two frieze drawers and is raised on elegant baluster turned legs and joined by turned side stretchers. The top has marks and some incidental historic stains together with multiple scars and bruises, all commensurate with age and function. A noble survivor.
