George Smart (1774–1846), known as the "Tailor of Frant," was an English tailor and folk artist renowned for his unique cloth collage portraits and felt-covered dummy boards. Residing in Frant, a village in East Sussex near Tunbridge Wells, Smart gained local fame for his artistic creations.
Old Bright was a postman in the village of Frant, known for his distinctive appearance and regular presence in the community. His actual name was William Bright, but he became known as "Old Bright" because of his long service and well-known role in the village.
