Comparative Literature: Michael Harding-Hill; Windsor Chairs, ACC Woodbridge 2003; Page 99 Illustrates and Describes a pair of closely similar examples.
Possibly the most elegant and engaging of Windsor chair designs these graphically sculptural chairs have graceful lines and a great surface. As with all Bodger/turner made chairs there are slight differences between each chair, but they are a genuine harlequin set of the same period and region, which have probably always been together. They are in genuine original condition, with evidence of age and use, scars and bruises throughout, but in robust and functional condition. It is unusual to find a set of this model and particularly examples with such good colour, surface and overall condition.
