A most unusual and individual early love token mangle board with curious and expressive stylized carved flower decoration to the body, obviously hand made by a suitor for his beloved it radiates the natural charm of uninhibited self expression, within the more formal tradition of Norwegian courtship gifts ritual. In genuine original condition throughout, retaining the original painted “rosemaling” decoration, a fine example in exemplary condition.
