A fine “Folk Art” chest of two short and three long drawers with original “scumbled” or faux grain painted surface and the boarded top has “faux marble” decoration . Generally the chest is in excellent condition retaining original low bracket feet, brass drop ring handles and wonderful decoration which carries various scuffs and bruises commensurate with age and function. This understated paint decorated chest is from the Gustavian tradition and benefits from delightful narrow depth and elegant proportions.
