In Original Burmese Teak Case with Fine Carved Details

Provenance: This extraordinary, probably unique, large architectural wall mounted timepiece was supplied to the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway, (LB&SCR), also known as the Brighton Line, or the Brighton Railway, in 1921 by Wakefields. It was originally delivered to the Locomotive, Carriage and Wagon workshop in Lancing, Sussex. It is numbered ”1149” on the massive 30” Dial and records show that this weight driven dead-beat escapement Regulator was decommissioned in December 1966.
