Condition: An exceptional solid yew wood drop leaf table with gate leg action, this example benefits from a single central plank top, with bookmarked twin plank drop leaves, raised on baluster turned legs joined by rectangular stretchers and retaining the original frieze drawer. The generous and satisfyingly shaped oval top has an exceptional colour and fine patination, for which the best pieces of early yew wood are renowned.This an exceptional example and a genuine collector's piece.
