This small practical and elegant vernacular dining table has a planked and cleated top, set upon a joined frame base with “H” stretchers. The top has a generous overhang at each end making it practical to sit at.
The table has a genuine original surface and patina and is in genuine condition. It would also make an attractive and functional flat top writing desk. Originally made in the vernacular tradition, it is fashioned from strong filed grown oak and has developed a wonderful unique character after years of use in a working farmhouse kitchen.
