Wrought Iron and Ormulu
This companion set, incorporating well chased ormolu handles and spiral stems, are of exceptional quality and decorative appeal. The set comprises of the traditional tongs, poker and pierced shovel. The steel has developed a finely patinated surface and the decorative detailing on the ormolu handles is remarkable. They are classy and generous in size, suggesting that they were made for use alongside a large and important architectural English country house fireplace. These tools are all in fine original and excellent functional condition.
