Condition: A lovely example in original “as found” condition, retaining the best pale blue painted surface with a darker complimentary rim. Wool baskets form part of the courtship gift ritual in Swedish Folklore, as the young girls invariably were involved in the spinning, making, cleaning of smoothing of cloth. These are found in various forms and colours, of which this blue is simply the most popular and desired.
