A quite remarkable example with exceptional provenance to one of the foremost 20thC collections of treen and early wooden objects. Of rare form and with exceptionally rich Patinated surface. The fine ceremonial drinking vessel or loving cup comes directly from the Viking tradition, the unusual stylised handles creating a wonderfully satisfying sculptural form. Exceptional collector's piece of Museum Quality.
