Unusually Elegant Georgian Legged Side Table

Unusually Elegant Georgian Legged Side Table
With Single Frieze Drawer and Shaped Apron
Solid Well Burnished Nutty Coloured Oak
English c.1750

With unusually shapely front and back cabriole legs, this small side or writing table has great lines and lovely original surface. The moulded top has a generous well balanced overhang to the frame and the frieze houses a charming small drawer, the accentuated and stylish cabriole legs terminate in elegant pointed pad feet. It is unusual to find vernacular tables with all four cabriole legs (as they are more commonly found with front cabrioles and straight back legs ). This is a particularly fine, elegant and charming early Georgian example.
