Rare Small William and Mary Oval Drop Leaf Table

With Single Plank Leaves and Baluster Turned Legs
Solid Richly Patinated, Nutty Coloured Oak

Condition: An unusual and charming oval drop leaf occasional table with gate-leg action, the oval top fashioned from three thick single plank sections is raised on a delightful swelling baluster turned and rectangular moulded section leg base. The frieze retains the original drawer and the timber a lovely rich nutty colour and original surface. There is some incidental historic staining to the top and a richly burnished surface to both the top and the base. Bearing scars and bruises commensurate with age and function, but in largely original condition throughout and of delightful proportions and small scale.
