Fine original hand painted sign depicting a whole ham. Painted on a boarded panel, bound with the original wrought iron frame and retaining the fixings for hanging. This pictorial trade sign is from the time when shops and tradesmen advertised themselves and their premises with images of their product or work and streets were crowded with wonderful images hanging from storefronts. In excellent original condition and of great primitive charm, this engaging piece of authentic folk art would now make a wonderful original art work for a stylish home kitchen, restaurant or deli.
