Condition: A lovely “leggy” piece of vernacular furniture of a type thought to have been originally used by cutler’s at their grinding wheels. The turned legs have a wonderful ribbed profile from the pole lathe and the almost triangular shaped top creates a good sculptural form raised on the high legs. Functional now as an occasional table, a sculpture stand or even a bar stool, it has a robust character and style and the timber has good rich well patinated surface and lovely fruity colour. A practical and unusual piece.
