A lovely and unusual primitive example, this Windsor form comb back child’s chair has great proportions and presence. The shaped comb crest rail houses the two end uprights and three central spindles, the shaped arms are socket through the uprights and the arm rest supports are socketed into the solid elm seat. There are traces some historic painted decoration and a good original surface. This early and well drawn example has an engaging contemporary feel and a naturally sculptural form. In untouched original condition with excellent provenance.
