The Zingra was a Fowey-registered schooner captained by John Hale Couch. In March 1891, the vessel was tragically wrecked off Deal, resulting in the loss of Captain Couch and several crew members.

Attributed to Antoon De Clerck (September 24, 1841 – 1899). As a young man he is thought to have gone to work at sea and then probably trained as a draughtsman.
