John Sideli at FORM - March 2007.
Private Preview Thursday 10th May 2007 Exhibition open from Friday 11th May to Saturday 19th May 2007
We showed a wide and intriguing variety of pieces from the Country Vernacular and Folk Art Traditions of Europe. We carefully select individual pieces for their form, surface, rarity and charm. The exhibition included engaging naive paintings; including a rare Townscape of Henley in Arden, a magnificent boat portrait by De Clerck, and a massive Belgian landscape of The Mother House in Champion. Furniture included a seventeenth century chest decorated with two naive chickens and Windsor stick and plank constructed chairs. One of the highlights was a massive enamelled clock face from France.
